CosmaSpace Terms of Service & Privacy Policy

• CosmaSpace is for adults only. At signup you certify that you are at least 18 years old.
• We do not knowingly allow anyone under 18. If we learn an account belongs to a minor, we will delete it and its content.
• If you believe a member is under 18, tell us through the Contact Support box in Account Settings.
• Being 18+ does not make every kind of content allowed. The Community Rules below still apply.

• Give accurate signup information and keep your email current, because password resets go there.
• You are responsible for everything done through your account. Keep your password private, and change it right away if you think someone else has it.
• One person per account. Do not impersonate another person, brand or CosmaSpace itself, including the creator account.
• You can delete your account at any time in Account Settings. Deletion is permanent.

You own what you post

Profiles, posts, comments, pics, music links, stories, games and everything else members add is user-generated content. You keep ownership of yours. By posting it, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, format and distribute it on CosmaSpace, only as needed to run the service. The license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies other members have already shared and backups kept for a limited time.

You are responsible for what you post

Only post content you have the right to post. You promise it does not infringe anyone's rights or break any law.

We do not endorse member content

Content on CosmaSpace is the responsibility of the member who posted it. We do not review everything before it appears, and we do not endorse, verify or guarantee any member content, opinion or link. You may run into content you find offensive or inaccurate, and you use member content at your own risk.

We may, but are not required to, remove or limit any content or account that we believe breaks these Terms or puts people or the service at risk.

CosmaSpace lets you style your profile with themes, the Visual Customizer, Custom CSS, music decks, avatars and mini-games. That freedom has limits:

• Custom CSS and layout code pass through a filter. Scripts, remote tracking, and anything that could run code in a visitor's browser are stripped or refused, and the filter's limits are not negotiable.
• Do not use a layout to imitate CosmaSpace's own controls, login or settings screens, to hide or cover the site header, footer or safety controls, or to mislead visitors.
• Do not use a layout to make a profile unusable, to cause seizures with rapid flashing, or to slow or crash a visitor's device.
• Uploaded games run in a sandbox. Do not upload malware, cryptominers, or games that try to escape the sandbox or collect visitors' data.
• We may change or reset any layout, theme or game that breaks these rules, and limits such as file sizes and style lengths may change as the service grows.

• Mail and IM are private between the people in the conversation, but they are not end-to-end encrypted. Do not send passwords, financial details or anything you could not afford to have exposed.
• You must never use messages to harass, threaten, stalk, scam or spam anyone, or to send sexual content to someone who has not clearly asked for it.
• Never pressure anyone to share personal details, photos, money or their location. Be careful about meeting people from the internet in person.
• Use Block in a profile's Options menu to cut off mail, tags and wall posts from a member. Report abuse through the Contact Support box in Account Settings.
• We do not read private messages as a routine. We may review messages that are reported to us, when we need to investigate abuse or a security problem, or when the law requires it.

Do not use CosmaSpace to:

• post or share content that sexualizes minors in any way. We report it to the authorities.
• harass, bully, threaten or promote violence against anyone, or attack people for who they are;
• post other people's private information, or intimate images of anyone without their consent;
• post content that is illegal, or that infringes someone's copyright, trademark or privacy;
• spam, run scams or phishing, sell or advertise without permission, or manipulate likes, friends or scores;
• break, overload, scrape or probe the service, or get into accounts or data that are not yours.

We respect copyright and respond to notices under the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). If you believe content on CosmaSpace infringes your copyright, send us a notice through the Contact Support box in Account Settings (or by Mail to @dreamless) that includes:

1. your physical or electronic signature;
2. a description of the copyrighted work you say is infringed;
3. the address (URL) of the content on CosmaSpace;
4. your name, address, telephone number and email address;
5. a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized by the owner, its agent or the law; and
6. a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or are authorized to act for the owner.

If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake, you can send a counter-notice with the details the DMCA requires. We remove the accounts of repeat infringers. Sending a false notice can make you liable for damages.

We may suspend or delete any account, with or without notice, if we believe it breaks these Terms, is used by someone under 18, or puts other members or the service at risk. You may stop using CosmaSpace and delete your account at any time. Sections 3, 7 and 9 still apply after an account ends.

CosmaSpace is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise the service will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free, or that content will never be lost, so keep your own copies of anything important.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of CosmaSpace or from any member's content or conduct. Our total liability for any claim about the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the past twelve months or US $50.

You agree to defend and hold us harmless from claims that arise from your content, your use of CosmaSpace, or your breaking these Terms.

Some places do not allow some of these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

We may update these Terms and the Privacy Policy. When we do, we change the date at the top of this page, and for important changes we will post a notice on the site. Using CosmaSpace after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

What we collect

• Account details: your display name, @handle, email address, a scrambled (hashed) form of your password that we cannot read, and when you agreed to these Terms.
• What you add: your profile, posts, comments, pics, messages, music links, games and settings.
• Location, only if you share it: features like the nearby feed store a coarse position (about a city's size), never your exact address.
• Technical data: IP addresses, used briefly to limit abuse such as password guessing, and when you were last online.

Cookies

We use a sign-in cookie to keep you logged in, and a short-lived cookie to show one-time notices. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

How we use it

Only to run CosmaSpace: to show your profile and content to the people you choose, deliver your messages, send password-reset emails, keep the service secure, and answer support tickets. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers.

Who else sees it

• Other members see what your privacy setting allows. A Friends-Only profile still shows your name and main pic.
• Music players and GIFs you add load from their own services (such as Spotify, YouTube, Apple Music, GIPHY and Tenor), which see the visitor's IP address under their own privacy policies.
• We may disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect people from harm.

Keeping and deleting it

You can edit or delete your content at any time. Deleting your account in Account Settings permanently removes your profile, comments, mail, pics and games. Backups may hold copies for a limited time before they are overwritten.

Security

Passwords are stored only as salted hashes, sessions use secure, HttpOnly cookies, and member code is filtered and sandboxed. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a password you do not use anywhere else.

Adults only

CosmaSpace is not for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from minors.
